One of the best things we can do is just read the bible with our kids. Not shying away from those hard passages but helping walk kids through that understanding. anne lincoln holibaugh does a great job at walking you through what this might look like.

The jesus storybook bible
a great resource, and bible, designed to help parents walk through different stories of the bible with their kids. this highlights both stories in the old and new testament.
